Job Title: E911/Communications Officer
FLSA Status:Non-exempt/Full-time-night shift
Pay Rate: $14.21/Hourly-84 hours every two weeks

Include, but are not limited to, receiving, monitoring, and dispatching radio communication traffic for EMS, Fire, and the Sheriff’s Office, including 911 calls. Receive and screen incoming telephone calls from the public and other public safety agencies; categorize and prioritize calls during emergency situations; and dispatch appropriate personnel. Coordinate mutual aid efforts with surrounding counties. Provide emergency medical instructions to callers prior to the arrival of emergency personnel as appropriate. Monitor and route incoming messages from national and state computer networks; retrieve information as requested.
The preferred applicant must be 18 years of age or older. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Also include, but are not limited to, no adverse driving record or felony convictions, and be able to pass the National Dispatcher Selection Test, intensive background investigation, voice stress and/or polygraph examination, drug screen, and psychological examination.
