Inmate Visitation Rules and Regulations
Visitation with family members, relatives, and/or friends will be conducted on a set schedule. Each inmate will be assigned two (2) video visits per week. Each visit will be scheduled for thirty (30) minutes, one assigned visit will be on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday; the second visit will be assigned for Saturday or Sunday. It is the responsibility of the inmate to release their scheduled visitation times to their family/friends. Please arrive a few minutes prior to the scheduled visitation time to be signed in. The Dawson County Detention Center reserves the right to modify the visitation schedule to accommodate increased population.
No children will be left unattended in the Dawson County Detention Center.
The Dawson County Detention Center reserves the right to refuse visitation to visitors who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, disruptive, or non-compliant with facility rules.
Staff members will supervisor all visits. Purses, food, drinks, smoking, and/or cell phones are not permitted in the visitation area.
Visitation by legal counsel, ministers, and other privileged individuals will be conducted with the most privacy available. Additionally, these visits will not be restricted to normal visitation hours; however, these privileges may be suspended or delayed during scheduled facility programs and services.Visitation will not be premitted between the hours of 5:00 am - 06:00 am and 05:00 pm - 06:00 pm due to shift change.
