Director

Debra J. Wimpy is currently the Director of the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Division. She began her career in 1987 with Dawson County, where she had communication duties as well as detention duties. In 1993, she went to Lumpkin County Communications. In 1996, Debra became Lumpkin County Communications Director. Wimpy came back to Dawson County in January 1999 as the Director. She has held the position of Vice-President North 1998-1999, President-Elect 2000, served as President in 2001, and is the past President of the Georgia Terminal Agency Coordinators Association. Director Wimpy has also served as Secretary for the Dawson County Kiwanis Club from 2000-2002. She is currently serving as Vice-President Northwest for the 9-1-1 Director's Association.
