SHERIFF CHAPLAINCY

Chaplaincy provides support to the Sheriff's Office in several different ways. Moral, emotional and spiritual needs fall into this category. There are specific duties in the field that allow the Chaplain to engage distraught or grieving individuals, while the deputies and or investigators complete the necessary case work. Those incarcerated often call on the Chaplain to help them cope with their circumstances. In most cases, the Chaplain is called upon to notify citizens of the death of a family member or close relative. One of the most rewarding aspects of Chaplaincy is encouraging the brave men and women who serve their community selflessly.
