Court Services

Court Services consists of four officers and one sergeant, who is also responsible for Warrants and Civil. They provide security at the courthouse entrance (metal detector), along with courtroom security for Magistrate, Juvenile, Probate, and Superior Courts. In 2006, there were 201 Superior court days, 42 Juvenile court days, 53 Magistrate court days, and 9 Probate court days. That's a total of 305 court days. These officers are also responsible for all transports for the sheriff's office, which may include to and from other agencies, doctor appointments and mental health transports. These officers will travel some 41,000 + miles throughout the year transporting inmates.
