Dawson County Sheriff's Office The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is always searching for highly qualified and experienced law enforcement officers to work in our uniform patrol division. Persons interested in applying for this position must meet certain basic qualifications. These include being at least 21 years of age, have no serious criminal record or background, certified police officer, experience as a patrol officer, and a desire to work in a community oriented environment. Patrol Officers start at a yearly salary of $32,803.68 and receive the full Dawson County benefit package. All applicants will be required to submit to a thorough background check, pre-employment drug screen, voice stress analysis, an interview process, and other pre-employment screening techniques utilized by our department.
